The Fire Services Department of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region on Friday held an official funeral with full honours for firefighter Ho Wai-ho, 37, who lost his life last month while battling a fire in Tai Po.

The day after the funeral, his fiancée paid a moving tribute on social media. Alongside a video of them together on a grassy field and a monochrome image of a wedding ring, she wrote: "In this life, I helped complete your 'graduation ceremony' for you. I hope it was to your liking. In our next life, I'll leave our wedding in your hands."
She continued, "I've put the ring on for you. You must, must, must remember to find me. And then… all I want is for you to simply hold my hand as we grow old together. Wait for me."
Her post included poignant lyrics expressing enduring devotion: "One day, this beautiful dream may come true, even if I must wait until the next life. I am willing to wait, for a kiss that reunites us… so I could go grey with you, sharing joy and sorrow, wishing to stay together for life. Let love be the bond between you and me. The farther apart we are, the closer our souls become; our paths are destined to cross again."

据悉，何伟豪与女友相恋近10年，二人原来准备今年12月举行婚礼。
It is understood that Ho had been in a relationship with his fiancée for nearly ten years, and the couple had been planning to marry this December.
今年11月26日，何伟豪奉召前往大埔宏福苑执行灭火救援行动，其间身受重伤，不幸殉职，终年37岁，遗下双亲、兄长、弟弟及未婚妻。
The tragedy occurred on Nov 26, when Ho was called to tackle a blaze at Hung Fuk Court in Tai Po. He sustained severe injuries during the operation and was later pronounced dead at the age of 37. He is survived by his parents, two brothers, and his fiancée.
11月27日下午，何伟豪女友在社交平台贴出黑白照，留言称：“多谢大家的关心……我都有看到……你是我的骄傲。但是对不起，我想向大家请一个小假期，因为我真的无法接受。我好想好想可以再牵你的手。”
